About Us

In the Rough is an idea created by married, subpar golfers Cory and Tessa Jones. Both highly competitive people became involved in the most frustrating sport at the early onset of the pandemic. Cory being an African American, and Tessa, a female in a male-dominated industry, realized that they were not the typical twosome you would run into on the course. The goal of In the Rough is to spread the game of golf to everyone. To acknowledge that the game is hard, it takes practice and persistence to get better, but the best thing about golf is that it's also okay to go out and have a good time even if you end up "In the Rough."
